Chad’s Athletic ACL Knee Injuries Blog
Our goal is to help you and all other athletes in Pueblo, Colorado eliminate ACL and Knee injuries. By the way, you do not have to be participating in a sport to be considered an athlete. Technically speaking, if you move and do yard work and other weekend warrior events, then you are an athlete! We have devoted the entire month of June to educating and helping people reduce and even eliminate ACL injuries and Knee joint pain. Did you know that the surgical approach to “end” your Knee pain is to cut out part of the meniscus to reduce pain. The problem with that approach is that most of the time the parts that are taken out may not be the cause of your knee pain. Research shows us that 68% of all people 51-89 years of age have cartilage damage and 85% of all adults have knee arthritis without pain. Yes, you heard that correct, more than two thirds of all adults have cartilage damage and arthritis but do not experience pain from those issues. What shows up as cartilage and joint problems on X-rays is probably not the cause of your knee pain. Another fact is that you can prevent most ACL knee injuries by just knowing what to do and when to do it.
Believe it or not, a faster and safer solution is to find the true root of the problem and help you move better with a natural, drug-free, surgery-free, and injection-free method. Most people feel that there is no hope and they have tried many things with no real results. We are here to tell you that is not true. There is hope for you and there are some simple things that can help reduce your knee pain, move better (even if you have torn your ACL), and get stronger to prevent this from coming back. Guess what? The treatments are not painful and most people feel better after one session. Are you worried about the cost? Well, the approach we use is some of the most inexpensive sessions available. Typically, when you go to the doctor first you will get referred to get x-rays, maybe an MRI, get shots and epidurals, and then see an Orthopedic Knee Specialist. All of this can cost several thousands of dollars. Most of the time you may feel the same or only slightly better for a short amount of time than when you started this path. This can be very frustrating for you.
If you decide to do nothing, you may save money in the short term, but your condition may get worse. Too much rest will lead to more pain, less function, and it makes you look and feel older because you start to limp and not fully extend you knee when you move. This cascade of events sometimes leads to lower self-esteem and depression. Well, we are here to let you know that there is a simple program that can help you reduce your chance of tearing your ACL and decrease knee pain that does not waste your money, time, and will not leave you feeling worse. The best part is you can do these self-treatments in the comfort of your own home once you are shown what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Most people will feel 80% better in 4-6 weeks, even if they have suffered for years and decades.
