Hi,
My name is Adrian Gomez, I have a new mission this year to complete a blog each and every week. That means I will complete 52 blog entries this year – 2016!
My goal is to inform you of all the things I do here at PT-Connections to make an impact in Pueblo and why I have had such a passion in this field since being introduced to it by Chad Clark about 5 years ago.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion – Emphasis: Wellness Promotion, as well as multiple certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, MovNat, FMS, and other local and non-local courses that I have attended. I have experience with many different client needs here at PT-Connections, and use my knowledge to be ready for any different client that will come in.
My focus has been – restoring natural movement, and improving overall physicality through results/evidence based principles that are safe and effective. I know the demands of many different sports, and activities through my own experience as a lifetime athlete and active person. I am not a professional athlete and I certainly don’t want to be. I do however have many years of experience as an athlete and coach, so I do understand the dynamics of what it takes to achieve and also to lose as an athlete.
In the time of being under the guidance of Chad Clark, I have learned so much about how to properly care for myself as an active person and I have found out through my own self experimentation what works for me and what doesn’t. I do my best to pass on that information to my clients and friends.
In the next 51 weeks my goal is to give you as much of the information that is in my head to help you learn about PT-Connections, myself, and the benefits of leading an active and healthy lifestyle.
With all of that being said here is my first gift to you of 2016:
Principle #1
Principle #1 Eliminate to Survive
Eliminating pain, injury and weakness are survival skills. In order for the healing process to take place you must eliminate the abrasive matter and allow the wound to heal.
Take your situation to a very basic level of understanding by eliminating distractions, costs, negative environments, and begin to introduce healing matters.
Survival for any person means finding a way to provide food, shelter, and water.
This is important for more reasons than just PHYSICAL. It can be emotional, social, financial, environmental, etc.
ACTION STEP:
GET RID OF THE JUNK!
ELIMINATE THE INESSENTIALS IN ORDER TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE ESSENTIAL!
