Functional training or rehabilitation is a necessary component for optimal fitness and it forms the foundation for a successful long-term exercise program.
Functional training can be described with
the following acronym:
Fun to perform because of the infinite combinations of movement done with or without equipment, individually, or in groups
Unique approach to fitness and wellness as it bridges the gap between rehabilitation and conditioning
Natural motions of the body are emphasized with this method
Consistently conditions your body with specific movement patterns that mimic the sport, recreation, and activity for which you are training
Triplanar motion concept is utilized; all three planes of motion are incorporated into every exercise. The three planes of motion (shown in the photos below) are: transverse or rotational motion, frontal or side-to-side motion, and sagittal or forward and back motion.

: transverse or rotational motion frontal or side-to-side motion sagittal or forward and back motion
Injury prevention is the main component of this training system
Optimal performance enhancement can be achieved
Never ending progressions of exercises to assist you in reaching your functional potential for work, sport, and play
All abilities and age groups can participate
Limitless in its application for the movement patterns you can create
Functional training/rehabilitation can take your current exercise program to a new and exciting level.
